When I was young, I used to chase dragonflies in our garden. This picture reminds me of those happy times I spent in the countryside.

Thank you for stopping by.

Great photo. I clicked on the photo and saw it in full size. Use your photo editting and resize before uploading so that you do not use up so much space. That is why you have used up all your space. I have 3 years worth of photos on one blog and still have plenty of space.

Thank you for all of the gracious comments!
Yes, I did indeed take this photo. In fact, if you would like to know, I took several series of this dragonfly! I must have taken over 40 pictures! Such is the nature of the beast...gotta LOVE digital photography!!!!

What a pretty dragonfly! When I was a kid I was afraid of dragonflies because they were so big, and my mom told me it was good luck if a dragonfly landed on you. I always believed it, and grew up and told that to my own kids... until my mom overheard me saying it, and mentioned to someone else that she had just made that up to keep me from freaking out when I saw dragonflies! Figures... but I've loved them, eversince!

Oh Kae, Dragonflies are my favorite! We have to wear these stupid navy blue bucket hats when we are in the inspection booths at work (under black lights). I took mine to our neighbor and had her embroider lime green, turquoise and hot pink dragon flies on it!

Fantastic shot! How long did it take for you to get such a good one? I love dragonflies.

Oooooh! I just love dragonflies--especially when depicted in jewelry and fabrics, etc. They are as pretty to me in person as they are otherwise!

A beautiful photograph. I love taking dragonfly photos...this particular one is so beautiful; I too end up with countless shots...after waiting ages for one to land and pose I have to make the most of it.

I really like this pic mom. Especially how it has like the black and blue stripes on its wings... so pretty. I had to rescue one just like that from the pool a couple days ago. He was flying too close to the water and fell in. But he got back out :)
